The most important factor in any type of gardening is having enough nutrients available. In soil based gardens, there is never sufficient nutrient, which is why fertilizers are used in every soil garden. Using hydroponic fertilizers are more difficult to use compared to soil fertilizers. Be sure to read the instructions carefully, the hydroponic fertilizers usually require a certain Ph and dilution level.
