A plant can be stressed when it desires nutrients but can not get any. With hydroponic techniques, plants are never stressed. Air, nutrients, and sunlight are always available to the plants with a hydroponic setup. Dripping systems also need some attention during maintenance check ups. Always have a few extra drippers on reserve incase there are circumstances which call for replacements. For examples, clogged drippers should be replaced immediately. To clean the clogged dripper, dip it into a vinegar solution and scrub if necessary. If the dripper is far to clogged, consider soaking it in water prior to the vinegar solution. Keep drippers nearby so they can be used as replacements whenever needed.

Before introducing a plant in the previous diseased area, clean up any residue left behind. Diseased Plants should be removed and its area should be cleaned thoroughly with a bleach solution. Before changing any water in the tank, wash it out with a cleaning solution. Remove any residue, and make sure areas which hosted a diseased plant are cleaned properly.
