Hydroponics is an alternate form of gardening. It has been on the rise in recent years because it has proved to be more nutritionally beneficial. Hydroponics is often referred to as the agriculture of plants in water and also the agriculture of plants without soil. Though the idea seems rather unpractical, its results prove that it may well be the future of gardening as we know it. If your hydroponic garden consists of Grodan plants, they would require less fertilizer then what they would need in a soil based garden. This is because of the technical system of hydroponic gardens. In soil gardens the nutrients in fertilizers are not all absorbed by the plants, because the soil acts like a buffer. In a hydroponic set up, there is nothing acting as a buffer, and all the nutrients from fertilizers are easily absorbed by the plants. It is a general rule that EC and pH should never be lower then 5 and higher then 7, as the plant would not be able to absorb any nutrients.

Before introducing a plant in the previous diseased area, clean up any residue left behind. Diseased Plants should be removed and its area should be cleaned thoroughly with a bleach solution. Before changing any water in the tank, wash it out with a cleaning solution. Remove any residue, and make sure areas which hosted a diseased plant are cleaned properly.
